Publisher Description
The first book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot.
Mia Thermopolis is pretty sure there’s nothing worse than being a five-foot-nine, flat-chested freshman, who also happens to be flunking Algebra. Is she ever in for a surprise.
First Mom announces that she’s dating Mia’s Algebra teacher. Then Dad has to go and reveal that he is the crown prince of Genovia. And guess who still doesn’t have a date for the Cultural Diversity Dance?
The Princess Diaries is the first book in the beloved, bestselling series that inspired the feature film starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews.
Customer Reviews
Enjoyable, but the rest...
This book is really good and funny! It’s a tad sexy and I find it really fun to compare and contrast to the movie. I even enjoyed a lot of the other books, but as you keep reading the series it just keeps getting stupider and stupider and more sexual. Eventually, I got to the point where I was completely done with this series (in an exasperated way). It all depends on what you find funny, but this book is really, really good!
NYC Royale
One of Meg Cabot's wonderful inspirations, The Princess Diaries describes a normal NYC teenager living a normal life until the day she finds out she's the heir to the throne of Genovia, has her life tear into pieces. Despite the humor of Mia and the things she's facing (being a freak at school, flunking her algebra class, despite the fact that her mom is dating her algebra teacher, and spending the weekends & after school sessions with her grandmother, Grandmere) the reader will enjoy the official diary of Princess Amelia of Genovia..
