Nevertheless, Hawk and Krysta are charismatic characters, and Krysta's guardians a wily troll and an austere woman aptly named Raven add humor and a dash of magic to the mix. Historical romance readers will embrace this capable author and her enchanting new trilogy.

Looove this series!
Still love this series all these years later!
I really loved the first book but not the second
This has 2 books in one. Two different stories with the same two families. The first was exciting and kept my attention. The second seemed to ramble on and on. I hate when authors keep writing the same internal dialogue over and over. It’s so repetitive. And the story moved at a snails pace. The second story also had 2 characters that were not entirely human but only revealed what one was. The other lived under bridges. That’s all I could figure out so I never understood where that storyline was supposed to lead. Also a ton on typos which can not be explained by the authors Canadian background as was written by another reviewer. So many books are like that now where editors are cut out of the publishing process but I wish they would realize how much they could benefit some professional help. All in all I would recommend this purchase just to enjoy the first book.
