Customer Reviews
Very enjoyable!
I listen to volumes and volumes of history books. Some the writing is great but the narration is terrible. Some the reverse. Sometimes though both the writing and the narration are highly enjoyable and informative at the same time. Such is the case with this book.
Great Audiobook
There’s a lot of things to admire about TR, and there a lot of things I found repulsive about the man. The book tries to be objective, but in the end the author seems to be enthralled with his subject. The places where NY politics of the time are discussed were incredibly boring and I had to push myself to get through it. Overall it was a great read and I do plan to read the other two volumes.
Excellent
Excellent book. The author does a great job explaining Theodore Roosevelt’s rise to the Presidency. The narrator does a great job as well.
