Publisher Description

Following the eruption of the bloody Clone Wars at the battle of Geonosis, both sides remain deadlocked in a stalemate that can be broken only by elite warrior teams like Omega Squad, clone commandos with terrifying combat skills and a lethal arsenal. . . .

For Omega Squad, deployed deep behind enemy lines, it’s the same old special ops grind: sabotage, espionage, ambush, and assassination. But when Omega Squad is rushed to Coruscant, the war’s most dangerous new hotspot, the commandos discover they’re not the only ones penetrating the heart of the enemy.

A surge in Separatist attacks has been traced to a network of Sep terror cells in the Republic’s capital, masterminded by a mole in Command Headquarters. To identify and destroy a Separatist spy and terror network in a city full of civilians will require special talents and skills. Not even the leadership of Jedi generals, along with the assistance of Delta squad and a certain notorious ARC trooper, can even the odds against the Republic Commandos. And while success may not bring victory in the Clone Wars, failure means certain defeat.

Also includes the bonus story Omega Squad: Targets by Karen Traviss!

Great book

One of the bet starwars books in the series, I've read the series 2 times, greatest starwars books I've ever read. :)

Emotionally Attached to This Book

This somehow had me feeling all throughout, and even afterwards, an overwhelming sense of attachment to the characters & story. I couldn't believe it.
I've read a few dozen SW novels, but this one here really reached deep inside of me.
Unfortunately it looks like there's not too much (if any?) follow up because of Ms. Traviss' parting of ways with the franchise. I get that she was ticked off by Disney's decision, but UGH. That doesn't make this any easier.
Rather than describing the story or parts of it, I'll just say that it's so well-written that I'm not sure that I'd ever felt so invested in a series before this! And that's a huge compliment.
Apparently I'm not alone because a simple web search will take you around to sites where the author has had to fend off rabid fans & our insatiable appetites for more of Darman & crew.

Triple Zero

An amazing look into the lives of those individuals who fight in the clone wars and are as skilled in their trade as Jedi are in the use of the force. This shows that the Jedi are not the only ones to uncover plots and secrets and forced to make hard decisions. A must read for fans of the Star Wars universe.
