Publisher Description
In The Lies of Sarah Palin, Geoffrey Dunn provides the first full-scale and in-depth political biography of the controversial Republican vice-presidential candidate and former governor of Alaska.
Based on more than two-hundred interviews---many of them with Republican colleagues and one-time political allies of Palin's---and more than forty-thousand pages of uncovered documents, Dunn chronicles Palin's troubling penchant for duplicity in grim detail, from her dysfunctional childhood in Wasilla through her contentious run for mayor and her failed governorship of Alaska. He also provides the shocking inside story of her betrayal of running mate John McCain during the 2008 presidential campaign and her self-serving resignation as governor in July of the following year. Dunn deftly places Palin in the American tradition of right-wing demagogues---from Huey Long to Joe McCarthy---and details her troubling obsession with Barack Obama as it fuels her own political ambitions and a potential run for the presidency in 2012.
The Lies of Sarah Palin is a journalistic tour de force that vividly reveals the Queen of the Tea Party movement as a vengeful and manipulative empress without clothes. This is the definitive book on Sarah Palin.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Even before she became a mayor, Sarah Palin wanted to be president. In this full-court press of a polemic, Dunn, an investigative reporter and senior correspondent for Metro Newspapers, serves up this and oth-er choice tidbits surrounding the former Alaska governor's meteoric rise to political superstardom. For Dunn, Palin's political leanings recall the xenophobic Know-Nothing party of the 19th century and are fueled more by self-gratification than any serious interest in policy issues. Palin's long and diverse list of spurned and scorned friends and associates, mainly in Alaska, provide devastating examples of her pen-chant for playing fast and loose with the truth and other detailed character quirks. Dunn concludes that Palin is "all id lazy beyond belief and carelessly impulsive." Unfortunately, a journalist's insistence on Palin's suffering from a "narcissistic personality disorder" without consulting actual psychologists or psy-chologists undercuts this otherwise riveting political drama. Palin enthusiasts are likely to cry foul, but anyone looking for a lively and through account of the Palin phenomenon will be well-rewarded.

The lies of Sarah Palin
Great read and after doing so.....have decided that Sarah Palin is not worth reading about anymore. She is not worthy of respect.
the lies of a left wing writer...
the writer is just the typical left media idiot. he is the one telling lies and mouthing piecing the typical slander of the left wing losers out there.
Seward's Folly
If she's a candidate for any office, it would have to be the Office of Sound Bites or the Office of Dirt Tossing. And is that plastic surgery or is she actually able to hold a straight face when pushing the buttons of spoon fed voters?
