PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Booth immerses readers in an opulent world of sex and scandal in her third Little Black Book of Secrets romance (after Black Tie Bachelor Bid). Socialite Alexandra Gold caused a stir when she walked out on her extravagant wedding 14 months before the start of the novel. Now she must face her best friend's wedding—but she refuses to go solo and risk the attention of the new, venomous gossip site Little Black Book of Secrets. Enter Ryder Carson, Alex's longstanding secret crush and her brother's best friend. Though the pair secretly shared one steamy night together a while back, Alex still views Ryder as off-limits. The pair are adamant about keeping things friendly as they fake a relationship, but flirtatious banter and a wedding mood prove difficult to resist. But which will happen first: their romance turning real, or the Little Black Book of Secrets revealing to the world that it was fake? Booth keeps the pages flying with saucy repartee and intense chemistry between the couple. The result is a steamy romance that fans of the brother's best friend and fake dating tropes will want to snap up.

Great book
I love this trope!! Brother’s best friend is definitely one of the best ones. Alex has been all over the tabloids for her last near wedding. Now that her BFF, Chloe is getting married, she needs to find a date for the wedding.
Her brother suggests his best friend, Ryder. What her brother doesn’t know is that Alex and Ryder had a one night stand a while ago and neither really wanted to get past it. Ryder and Alex agree to go to the wedding but nothing more.
Well, they had good intentions and you know how that goes!.

Alex and Ryder
Alex is know as the trust fund runaway bride. She operates a flower boutique. She has had a crush on her brother’s best friend for years. But Ryder shows no interest in her, except for their one indiscretion. They had slept together. He had snuck out in the night.
Ryder is best friends and business partners with Alex’s brother Daniel. Daniel asked him to accompany his sister Alex to a wedding as her fake date. Alex and Ryder still have attraction and chemistry. But Ryder fights it due to his friendship with Daniel.
Alex and Ryder are constantly fighting their attraction. It creates stress in their relationship. Will Ryder finally step up and admit his feelings or hide away?
Has a HEA.

When faking it is all too real…
Four and a half stars
Karen Booth’s How to Fake a Wedding Date is the third and last in her Little Black Book trilogy, and is Alex and Ryder story.
Alexandra Gold is a wedding planner trying to hold her head up high in the wake of calling off her own high-profile nuptials. Ryder Carson is her brother’s best friend, and also the guy she’s crushed on for years. While the two of them caved to mutual attraction once, they’ve agreed not to pursue it further. Ha!
When Ryder agrees to accompany Alex as her pretend date to another wedding, they’ll manage to keep their real feelings under wraps…or not!
Karen Booth’s story is a terrific take on the brother’s best friend trope, and is a good close to the series, with plenty of emotion and steam!
