One of my favorite scary reads.
Yes, it’s dated. But I enjoy revisiting 1975 and it’s an effectively creepy vampire story! My favorite Stephen King because it’s the first of his books I read as a young adult. BUT the narration is pretty mediocre. I agree with the reviewer that listening to this book is “better than Ambien.”
Good narrator boring story
I would give the narrator four stars, but this story moves ultra slow. The scary parts did not scare me and most of the time I kept thinking how silly it all is. I like Stephen King but this book missed the mark for me.
Better than the movie
So much better than when they made it into a movie. The words written, terrified me compared to the movie.
