Investigators

Just another great story by Griffin. The only down side with this story was its predictability. Usually I am so intrigued by the story line I have to force myself to put the book down. Not this time. However; it's not going to deter m from reading the next episode.

Decently written, way too much back story

Probably the most boring of the police series “Badge of Honor”. Mr. Griffin uses way too much past tense filler from previous stories. Mr. Griffin writes a good story here, using pretty much his same formula of a smart, confident young police officer with much to learn about being a police officer. In this iteration, the Philadelphia police Department will deal with corrupt Narcotics cops, and concurrently conduct a Joint investigation with the FBI into bank Robberies and homeland terrorist activities, pushing young Philadelphia Detective Matt Payne into the forefront of both stories. This iteration follows the same trope story, so you will only be surprised by the closing acts in solving and closing the criminal investigations how the story plays itself out.

Unfortunately MR. Griffin relies on using back stories and previously published material as filler, re telling Detective Payne’s exploits over numerous pages to make the book longer. I get it. Maybe a new reader has not read the 6 previous books of this Series and needs to understand how we got to this point.

Having read the entire series, Anytime Payne develops a romantic interest in a female character, you can pretty much bet she’ll be in some kind of serious danger by the three quarter mark.

Mr Griffin writes a good, page turning, novel filled with action, romance, and a well researched book about the workings of a police department’s various organizations.
