Publisher Description
We have to burn to rise from the ashes.
Nearly two years after her divorce, Felicity Hawthorne is ready to date again. At least, she thinks she would be, if the idea of dating wasn't so freaking terrifying. But then she wins a date with sexy, swoony firefighter Noah Prescott at a charity bachelor auction, and everything changes.
FDNY captain Noah isn't looking for a relationship. Since losing his father as a teenager, he's spent the past twenty years shouldering heavy responsibilities, and he knows he doesn't have the time or energy to be anyone's boyfriend. But one date with sweet, charming Felicity has him wanting things he shouldn't want.
Which is why Noah suggests Felicity practice her budding dating skills with him. He wants more of her, and practice dates are as close as he can come to having her in his life without hurting her. But then dating practice turns into practice of another kind—the kind that involves moans and sighs and orgasms—and Noah knows he's going to fall. Hard.

Tender and Sweet
Touching read and I love the parallel that a group of female friends meeting and discussing books, food, and their lives versus romance novels. I found the story of sexy hot firefighter Noah and English teacher slash drama teacher Felicity’s story sweet and tender. Definite worth reading. The author had some pronoun confusions that can be remedied with proofread or update fix.
The Heat
Noah and Felicity were burning up the pages!
Hot Firefighter with guilt a mile long saves hot, divorcée teacher from a stuck elevator. The moment they touch is sparks flying everywhere. Oh well, she’ll never see him again. FF a few days later, charity auction, rescued teacher is at a fundraiser with her girlfriends and who’s a bachelor on the block…hot Noah! Oh her friends have got to be the best friends ever because they drop 7 large on Captain Noah Prescott of the FDNY.
Their date turns out magical. He can see a Felicity she doesn’t see, and she can dissect Noah so well it scares and intrigues him. Noah isn’t “relationship material” because he has too many responsibilities. Well those self imposed responsibilities may have him missing the woman that was made just for him. If you haven’t read any of the Prescott men by Tara Wyatt, you can start here, but go back to the beginning too. These fellas really keep you reading and then women who are in their lives are amazing. 4.5⭐️ 3.75🔥
Can he change his thinking?
Noah thinks that he has to take care of those in his family and the ones he loves. He does this to the expense of his own happiness. He meets Felicity and they have an instant attraction. She’s divorced and just wants a man to love her and be with her. Noah loves being with her but he’s feeling like he’s being selfish as he’s doing this for himself! If he backs off will he realize that he’ll be doing something that will hurt him forever? Or will he realize that it’s his life and he gets to live it his way?
