Awesome book!!
Awesome book. Really needed to hear a lot of what she points out. Very encouraging and inspiring!!
For some, but not for me
If you are a young 20 something and feel lost, read on. This may hit you perfectly in the heart.
Read the sample first, it’s very representative of the book. If it’s not your style, then definitely move on. It was not mine but I gave it a chance because of the reviews and wish I’d chosen something else.
The all caps SCREAMING on every third paragraph was brutal to read. Text message slang, borderline childish, sometimes condescending writing style was not for me. When she said something that was almost beautiful, she made it goofy, made fun of it and almost denounced it after and that destroyed the depth for me. Again, maybe not for someone else. I read a ton of non-fiction. Her stories were not written to speak to me, but to someone else. That’s okay.
If you are looking for substance, depth, action and awe-moments, there are better options.
Lovely and Authentic
Somehow this book found me right when I needed it to. I loved every second of the tender stories, advice, and rituals for growth that were presented in this book. This is a warm and fuzzy resource for anyone who is learning to love themselves without judgement. This is a book that I will refer back to over and over again.
