So good
The book was written so well and it was really interesting
Witty, classic, great for young adults.
This is truly one of my family’s favorite books in both print and audio form. The writing is fantastic. Great character development. Lots of twists and turns. Especially wonderful for a road trip. Enjoy!
A chore to read.
Jumpy, bloated, mess. More red herrings than should be allowed in a mystery. Hard to read even after accepting that a 14 year old is somehow as adept at puzzle solving, code deciphering, and public speaking as the multitude of adults around her. That said adults would then let that child hold any position in the deciding of a will up to letting them cross examine people in court is just ridiculous.
Then the “aha!” moments by characters appearing after little or no thought or reflection was more characteristic of stage actors than real people.
I feel bad because so many people enjoyed this book, but it’s just awful.
