Publisher Description
In this essential Star Wars Legends novel, Mace Windu must journey to his long-forgotten homeworld to confront a terrifying mystery with dire personal consequences.
The jungle planet of Haruun Kal, homeworld of the legendary Jedi Master Mace Windu, has become a battleground in the increasing hostilities between the Republic and the renegade Separatist movement. The Jedi Council has sent Depa Billaba—Mace’s former Padawan and fellow Council member—to Haruun Kal to train the local tribesmen as a guerrilla resistance force. But now the Separatists have pulled back, and Depa has not returned. The only clue to her disappearance is a cryptic recording left at the scene of a brutal massacre: a recording that hints of madness and murder, and the darkness in the jungle . . . a recording in Depa’s own voice.
Mace Windu trained Depa. Only he can find her. Only he can learn what has changed her. Only he can stop her. He will leave behind the Republic he serves, the civilization he believes in, everything but his passion for peace and his devotion to his former Padawan. And he will learn the terrible price that must be paid when keepers of the peace are forced to make war. . . .

See AllHappily Enjoyed Again !
I read Shatterpoint years ago and lost it when Disney disavowed so many EU books . So looking for summer readings I repurchased it ASAP. Shatterpoint is a great standalone book for fans of Mace Windu. It reveals a side of the Jedi Master we did not get to see in movies and only makes Mace more of a B.A. in my opinion. I am glad that Marc Thompson was not the Narrator ( though I like him very much) only thing better would be Samuel L. Jackson himself. It is a slower read but action packed. Though, I hate thinking of what would be cut out in an Abridged version some might go that route. My hope is that maybe Disney is reconsidering crediting some EU books in timeline of Prequels and Original trilogies as true. Shatterpoint is a very good start! Maybe we will come to find Mace Windu survived and saved Grogu after all ;)
Wow
What an amazing book, I’ve listened to dozens of Star Wars books and this is the most interesting one I’ve ever listened to, it’s brutal. Mace Windu, the Jedi that walks the boundaries of the light and dark side. Well done
Pretty good
As far as star wars books go this one was pretty good and also had info that answers questions regarding Star Wars in its entirety
