NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From the beloved star of Gilmore Girls and the New York Times bestselling author of Talking as Fast as I Can comes an “insightful, honest, funny, and moving collection of captivating stories” (BuzzFeed).
“Graham is fast and furiously funny. . . . Where Graham leads, we will definitely follow.”—E! Online
Lauren Graham has graced countless television screens with her quick-witted characters and hilarious talk show appearances, earning a reputation as a pop culture icon who always has something to say. In her latest book, Have I Told You This Already?, Graham combines her signature sense of humor with down-to-earth storytelling. Graham shares personal stories about her life and career—from her early days spent pounding the pavement while waitressing in New York City, to living on her aunt’s couch during her first Los Angeles pilot season, to thoughts on aging gracefully in Hollywood.
In “R.I.P. Barneys New York” Graham writes about an early job as a salesperson at the legendary department store (and the time she inadvertently shoplifted from it); in “Ryan Gosling Cannot Confirm,” she attempts to navigate the unspoken rules of Hollywood hierarchies; in “Boobs of the ’90s” she worries her bras haven’t kept up with the times; and in “Actor-y Factory” she recounts what a day in the life of an actor looks like (unless you’re Brad Pitt).
Filled with surprising anecdotes, sage advice, and laugh-out-loud observations, these all-new, original essays showcase the winning charm and wry humor that have delighted Graham’s millions of fans.

Actor and best-selling author Lauren Graham shares 15 personal stories filled with humor, warmth, and life lessons. The star of the TV shows Gilmore Girls and Parenthood has been making her way in show business for over 30 years, and her delightful memoir digs into all of it. Graham is wise and funny, making astute observations about dog ownership, her love of New York City, the challenges of having boobs in Hollywood, and the striking similarities between TV acting and working in a factory. Graham is a bubbly, personable narrator. Listening to her audiobook really drove home how refreshingly down-to-earth she is. Amazing!
I caught myself laughing in this book. Just at the way so many things have changed over time amazes me. I also caught myself relating to certain things. Definitely worth purchasing.
Relatable, funny and refreshing
I have been a very big fan of Lauren since I was 13 and an obsessed Gilmore Girls fan. I continued to follow her acting career and grew to admire her beyond Lorelai. As much as I enjoyed “Talking As Fast As I Can” and “In Conclusion Don’t Worry About it”, this book was much more impactful. It had me laughing out loud and also tearing up relating my relationship with my mom to Lauren’s relationship with her’s . At 33 years old now, listening to Lauren talking about her struggles, accomplishments, thoughts on aging and life was comforting knowing I have had similar conversations and thoughts.

A few years ago I was up late on my birthday and I found Lauren Grahams venmo account. I sent a request for $4.44, said it was my birthday, and that I loved her recent book. I honestly didn’t expect her to complete the request, but of course the sweet soul did. Ever since then, I have felt like I owed her $4.44. I couldn’t find her venmo account again after checking several times, so I am really glad that she released a new book. Not only so that I could enjoy more of her wit, but so that I could finally pay her back for making my birthday a few years ago. Love you LG
