Chopra’s Muhammad is an outstanding resource for everyone who thinks they should know more about the man who inspired the world's fastest-growing religion.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Chopra, an iconic figure in American popular culture, proves with this biography of Muhammad that he is more than just a New Age talking head. Varying by chapter the narrative viewpoints and using actual characters from the life of Muhammad, such as Muhammad's first wife, Khadijah, and his daughter Fatima, Chopra tells the story of Muhammad's life in this "teaching novel." Similar volumes by Chopra have already profiled Buddha and Jesus. While technically this is fiction, several historical events including ones dear to many Muslims' hearts are related. The result is one of the most imaginative and touching biographies of Muhammad. For instance, in the prelude, inventively narrated by the Angel Gabriel, the angel bringing the revelation of the Qur'an to Muhammad, describes the illiterate caravan trader who had married his wealthy female boss. The next chapter, narrated by Muhammad's grandfather Abdul Muttalib, tells the legend of the Zamzam well, which Muslims visit to this day in their annual hajj pilgrimage. Chopra goes on to describe a people yearning for a message that would liberate them from polytheistic tribalism and the messenger, a trustworthy but frightened man who became a prophet. Chopra's grasp of Muhammad's mission and life is accessible and extends his range in a surprising direction; his popularization is welcome.

Best historytelling of the Great Prophet
I've read many books telling the life of our Great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) , most of them mostly presented "dry" historical events.
Deepak bravely choose a new approach. He made people closest to the prophet tell the story about what they see and feel of any particular event happened to the prophet, started by his grandfather Abdul Muttalib to his great enemy converted to sahabat, Abu Sufyan.
And Deepak put more 'emotions' in the story.
To be honest, I cried many times during reading this book, longing to see the Prophet in a real world, real life.
It's a must read book for those who want to know more the life of, as Michael H Hart chosen in his book, the # 1 most influential man in history, The Great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
AMAZING!
Blown away by the life brought to the characters. I thought it would be another serious book about Islam & the Prophet, instead the book brought him to life as a PERSON. Calling him, "a men among men," brilliant! This book will blow you away, the imagination & story is breathtaking. Loved every page of it, finished it in two days. Beautiful book.
Close to perfection
As a Muslim, I have never viewed the life of the prophet or knew it as I did after reading this book.
I say it's close to perfection because some details needed more attention. That's my humble opinion.
