True Notebooks: A Writer's Year at Juvenile Hall (Abridged‪)‬

When Mark Salzman is invited to visit a writing class at Central Juvenile Hall, a lockup for Los Angeles’s most violent teenage offenders, he scrambles for a polite reason to decline.
