End Time

Publisher Description

We live in a time of breaks. The omnipresence of the internet, the imminent loss of personal freedom, elderly poverty and overpopulation, climate change, terrorism, the decay of any moral values, the loss of the own identity to sexuality and luxury, the modern people‘s loss of God.

And now in 2022, when I revise this book, its worse than 2016, when I published the first edition of it. Nearly for 3 years we have to live with Covid-19 and its great impact on the entire world. If that weren‘t enough, Russia is at war with Ukraine and threatens democracy in whole Europe. Russia threatens the peace of the world by the delay of grain shipments and is blackmailing Europe with its energy deliveries. Especially Germany made itself dependent on cheap gas from Russia. A hard winter is just around the corner. And there is a lot more, which can trouble our hearts: The mass shootings in the USA, the droughts and wildfires in Europe and the entire world, due to the climate change, the China - Taiwan conflict, which has flared up since the beginning of this week, triggered by Nancy Pelosi‘s visit to Taiwan. If you are interested in what‘s going on in the world you know that.

For me these phenomena are signs for that we are at the end of the end time. But there is no place for resignation and despondency. Just as little as for a senseless dance at the brim of the erupting volcano. I illuminate with my essays our present situation and show, that we in face of the breaks in our society not have to become desperate, but we can go hopefully into the future to change it actively with our actions. Thereby God stands in the center, who became in Jesus Christ humanly and powerless. He offers us reconciliation.
