Paris: a historical introduction.
A very good overview of the history of Paris from the time before Christ to today. Not actually a history of architecture, but a history of the events that formed Paris. Over 2000 years of history. And what a history Paris has had. A fascinating read for a traveler to the city of light. This book gave me a monumental history of how Paris has developed.
