Publisher Description
Micheline Helsing is a tetrachromat -- a girl who sees the auras of the undead in a prismatic spectrum. As one of the last descendants of the Van Helsing lineage, she has trained since childhood to destroy monsters both corporeal and spiritual: the corporeal undead go down by the bullet, the spiritual undead by the lens. With an analog SLR camera as her best weapon, Micheline exorcises ghosts by capturing their spiritual energy on film. She's aided by her crew: Oliver, a techno-whiz and the boy who developed her camera's technology; Jude, who can predict death; and Ryder, the boy Micheline has known and loved forever.
When a routine ghost hunt goes awry, Micheline and the boys are infected with a curse known as a soulchain. As the ghostly chains spread through their bodies, Micheline learns that if she doesn't exorcise her entity in seven days or less, she and her friends will die. Now pursued as a renegade agent by her monster-hunting father, Leonard Helsing, she must track and destroy an entity more powerful than anything she's faced before . . . or die trying.
Lock, stock, and lens, she's in for one hell of a week.

Customer Reviews
One of the best books I’ve ever read.
I absolutely loved this book. It was creative, fun, and had me at the edge of my seat the whole time. I loved the character development, their powers (I’m not sure how else to put it.), and just the characters themselves. They stuck out to me, not just because I liked them, but also because of their relationship with each other. It was such a tight relationship, and had me remembering how tight my old friendships were.
Another thing I love about this book is that you could just sit down and read. You’d finish the book in about 2-3 days. It took me 3 weeks-mostly because I had school. But even then I read it.
Shutter caught my attention so many times. I’d stay up quite late just to finish another chapter. I couldn’t get enough of it. I’d love for another book, however. To finish off Luca for good.
MICHILINE IS A BADA**
I've never been one to enjoy romantic novels but this had a side of danger. I love Ryder and Michilines' characters and personalities. Best book I've read so far. Readers will not be disappointed!😆
Unique characters
I really love the characters of the book, maybe because each one is unique in their own way and how they are with each other.
