Maine game warden Mike Bowditch is assigned with shooting wild boars and his girlfriend Stacy is with him. Suddenly Stacy notices what one of the boars is chewing is the body of an infant baby. DNA tests link them to a young woman that disappeared 4 years ago and is presumed dead. Mike doesn’t believe this because he is positive he identified her on a follow up investigation. What next follows is Mikes investigation into her disappearance and the reserve police officer her kidnapped and tortured the young woman and injected her daily with herion in order for her to comply with whatever he requested. Another excellent read in this series!! My highest recommendation!!

Great—kept me intrigued throughout from page 1 to the end!!! Game Wardens—do more than uphold the laws of fish and wildlife. They occasionally catch the bad guys. ...I borrowed that information from the t.v. series: North Woods Law.
