Maine Game Warden receives a call for service from an agitated women regarding a rattlesnake she saw near her property. This puzzles the warden because they have been extinct in the region for over a hundred years. Then a teenager is bitten on the leg by a rattlesnake at an outdoors party and loses his leg. What ensues next is Warden Bowditch learns about an eccentric or a better description would be psychotic sociopaths who have an unusual interests in rattlesnakes and their venom. Their estranged daughter contacts Bowditch and claims they carried out experiments with her and were injecting her with snake venom. She also said they were releasing rattlesnakes into the wild. What ensues is a bizarre series of events that the two sisters have plotted against their parents. Another excellent read in this aeries!! Enjoyed immensely!!
