APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A mother’s and daughter’s secrets could prove fatal in this gripping thriller. Ruth Sterling and her daughter, Catherine, have always been close. Ruth, a hard-working waitress, and Catherine, an up-and-coming nurse, have only had each other. But as Catherine prepares to leave Ruth for an exciting new job, she realizes that her mother is undermining her decision. Her search for the reason why leaves her questioning everything she thinks she knows about her mother—putting them both in danger. This fascinating, twisty story is unraveled with a deft hand by author Sarah Pekkanen, and we listened with breathless anticipation as Ruth and Catherine circle each other, getting closer to their inevitable showdown. Actress Kate Mara’s narration subtly captures that ever-growing sense of disquiet. Gone Tonight is a satisfying and tense listen about the necessary and unnecessary lies we tell each other.

Good read
It’s a little slow to start, but get better.
Enjoyable
Good read. Good twists
Not her best
I love all of her books, but this was just… eh. The twist at the very end should have been woven in throughout the story more. And the plot just dragged.
