The book had an interesting plot, however, using the same filler or transitions over and over really got on my nerves. " He stared, she stared, nervous glance,tossed a look, shared a glance and so on and so on ... These characters were looking at each other so much how could they see the antagonists coming. Please find other actions other than the "Look thing".
