Publisher Description
Douglas uncovers the underlying reasons for lack of consistency and helps traders overcome the ingrained mental habits that cost them money. He takes on the myths of the market and exposes them one by one teaching traders to look beyond random outcomes, to understand the true realities of risk, and to be comfortable with the "probabilities" of market movement that governs all market speculation.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Douglas, president of the seminar firm Trading Behavior Dynamics, focuses on the psychology of successful traders. Instead of offering specific strategies, he advises readers, "The first step on the road...is to understand and completely accept the psychological realities of trading." It may be too abstract for some, but given trading's risks, this book could assist experienced investors willing to engage in self-reflection.

Game changer
It completely revamps your mental thoughts, emotions, beliefs of trading. I have become such a better trader since reading.
Solid
The book is mainly focused on trading psychology. Don’t pick this up if you are looking for strategies or TA guides.
Over all enjoyed this book. It’s a relatively quick read. The author primarily used analogies and stories to get his point across. At times it’s rather repetitive but the author has some solid points that he wants to hammer into our brain. I would recommend this book for any trader at any experience level. I’ve learned quite a bit about the human mind through this book (even outside of the markets). I now have a better understanding of the complex emotions that I’ve experienced while reading and how many (if not most) of these beliefs/responses are self deprecating. The author focuses primarily on developing consistency and explains how holding that as a goal can perpetuate a trader into all in which they desire. I will be applying several of these concepts to my own trading and recommend this book to fellow traders.
