Publisher Description
As narrated by Tuesday, Tuesday Tucks Me In is a day in the life of this service dog extraordinaire and tail-wagging ambassador for all things positive and uplifting in the world. The book takes us through a typical day of adventures, starting with Tuesday waking military veteran Luis Carlos Montalván in the morning and greeting him with dog breath in the face, and then ending with Tuesday cuddling up to Luis on their bed, the last moment they spend together before sleep.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Based on Montalv n and Witter's 2012 adult title Until Tuesday, the real-life story of an Iraq veteran (Mont lvan) with PTSD and his service dog is presented for young readers in intimate photographs and easy-to-grasp descriptions. Tuesday, a golden retriever, tells readers about his life with his owner, Luis: "I even sleep with him, which helps control his nightmares." Photographs show New York City residents Luis and Tuesday during their morning routine (Tuesday brings Luis his socks and shoes), visiting a restaurant, meeting other veterans, and traveling on the subway ("Luis doesn't like crowds. So he hugs me while we ride"), eventually arriving at Coney Island. A moving story about companionship, loyalty, and the value of service dogs. Ages 4 8.

A must read!!!!
I am a huge fan of all thing Tuesday and Luis! Everyone should read these books and then give them to friends and family! This book explains what service animals are and why people need them. Luis and Tuesday are a true inspiration!
I love this book!!! Amazing!
The story of Luis and Tuesday is both an inspiration and a tear jerker. After reading "Until Tuesday. A Wounded Warrior and the Golden Retriever Who Saved Him" the reader felt as though they knew the couple intimately, having walked through their story hand by paw. Being a mental health therapist and wife of a Iraq and Afghanistan Combat Veteran, I can appreciate (and live) their story. However, with the new book "Tuesday Tucks Me In" I can help explain some of daddy's fears and experiences to our 5 year old. Luis (and Tuesday) are true heroes of our time. The pictures are amazing and so endearing that people young and old will love it! If anyone questions the importance of the relationship between Veterans and their service dogs, they will understand after this book. Love, love, loved it!
Thank you Luis for your dedication and sacrifice to our country. And thank you Tuesday for helping pick up the pieces of one of our wounded warriors.
Blessings,
