Bad formatting, not for weeknight cooking, not ideal for Instant Pot
This was the first cookbook I got after buying an instant pot. As a perfect example of a typical weeknight using this book and an instant pot, I’ve been preparing the rice and beans recipe for 1.25 hours, having tried and tried again to get the recipe to cook in the instant pot, and then resorted to stove top. Infuriating.
My issues with this book: (1) as everyone else has said, digital formatting is terrible. For example, the recipe for meatloaf is totally missing from the book but appears in the TOC and index. (2) the recipes are not written to be quick. I’ve never gotten the sense I’m saving any time using these recipes, (3) many of the recipes have not worked well with my Instant Pot, whereby the Pot thinks it is at pressure, but it is not. This is because the liquid in the recipe is either too thick or there is stuff stuck to the bottom of the pot, tricking the Pot into thinking it is at pressure. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU WANT TO MAKE QUICK MEALS IN AN INSTANT POT.
Is this book broken, on incompletely downloaded?
I search for a recipe for chicken thighs. It is listed in the "Index". But the index is not hotlinked, it appears, and has no page number references either.
And this recipe, Tuscan chicken with mushrooms, is also not apparently in the book.
It is so curious. I get most of my books from Amazon, where I have never had this problem. This title as sold for kindle apparently has font and style problems, which is why I bought from Apple.
Hip Pressure cooking
If your going to view this on your laptop you will not be able to see any of the graphics and yopu can not inlarge the print. Its unacceptable. I don’t own an ipad, Not made of money and my iphone is regular size so have to enlagre the print to read. Just not workable. Unless this is fixed don’t buy if your going to view it on you computer
