Beyond powerful
I was taken on the most powerful journey I’ve ever taken, with some of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever experienced. Every emotion was touched several times, and every page left me wanting more. Daniel is an amazing storyteller.

I was completely blown away with the detail of the horrific events that our ancestors went through being snatched from their home land, chained, and brought to America. Great great read!
Raw, Vivid, Spectacular
Dr. Daniel Black approaches the infrequently discussed Middle Passage in a way that makes you imagine how any people could endure so much pain yet still create, escape and overcome despite their horrific circumstances. This vivid novel is moving and touching. Must read.
