Cultural Appropriation

Book should be titled White Christian Conjure. The book is about African American hoodoo and is written by if I’m not mistaken, a white southern woman. If that’s not already a red sign, she also repeatedly says that anyone including white people can use hoodoo, which is not the case. It is for the descendants of African American slaves ONLY. The writing skill and vocabulary is lacking. She also makes it seem like Christianity is a necessary part of hoodoo, when hoodoo is a practice not a religion.
