Okay
I love this series but for some reason this one didn't hit the same cord as the others...I couldn't really get interested in the characters as much as I have the others...I re-read many of the others but this one never really got past the initial read...I look at it at times just for information on others characters...it is good story but not one that I keep going back to...
Not good.
This was a very frustrating read. Neither of the primary characters spoke to each other about their situation very much, there was internal monologue but actual conversation between them was very little, how do you resolve anything when you don't have dialogue?? I kept waiting for one of them to speak up and address their issues, and when they finally did it was without really addressing it. Very annoying.
Love the world, but this one didn’t hold up.
Craved by an Alpha is Felicity Heaton‘s fifth book in her Eternal Mates series. The focus in Craved by an Alpha is on Cavanaugh, whom we have met briefly, in a few of the other titles.
This is probably one of the hardest reviews I have done in quite some time. I am absolutely in love with the world building in the Eternal Mates series, as well as the characters. Craved by an Alpha just didn’t hold up. The lack of dialog and chapters of internal thoughts was just too much for me. I even attempted to skip to the last couple of chapter and found that I just couldn’t find it in me to care.
Part of me just did not believe and will never accept that a complete passive and submissive women could ever retain a healthy relationship with a true alpha. Especially, as Heaton has created a very high standard of what defines alpha in this series. Maybe my job has jaded me. Maybe the reality that these two personalities can never truly be happy together is something I see every day, but I just couldn’t get into being passionate about their relationship.
This title was a DNF. Although I read most of the first half and part of the ending, I am considering it a Did Not Finish title. I will still continue this series, and have actually finished book 6. I will go ahead and announce that I am glad I continued this series. It was a pleasure to read. =)
