Publisher Description
Brought to you by Puffin.
Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong have returned to Deepdean for a new school term, but nothing is the same. There's a new Head Girl, Elizabeth Hurst, and a team of Prefects - and these bullying Big Girls are certainly not good eggs.
Then, after the fireworks display on Bonfire Night, Elizabeth is found - murdered.
Many girls at Deepdean had reason to hate Elizabeth, but who might have committed such foul play? Could the murder be linked to the secrets and scandals, scribbled on scraps of paper, that are suddenly appearing around the school? And with their own friendship falling to pieces, how will Daisy and Hazel solve this mystery?

Loved it
Loved the plot line, sad motive though
Issues with the narration.
We enjoyed the first three books very much indeed, but unfortunately this book is not read by the same narrator. As such, it’s somewhat ruined by a lacklustre and uninspired performance.
I could have probably endured it, but children can be brutal in their honesty. We gave up after chapter 1.
Judging by the other review we’re not the only ones. It’s a same as we’ll now pass on the rest of the series because of it.
Requested a refund.
Great!! 👏
This audiobook helped me survive a three hour trip to the middle of nowhere 🤣 I absoloutley loved the narrator, Katie Leung’s voice. I wouln’t say that the story was my favourite as it was a bit sad, really, eith Daisy and Hazel and Alexander and whatnot, and you must read the first few before this one, but overall 5/5 stars for a brilliant, engaging book and performance.
Thanks for reading!
Also sorry for any typos 😅
