Incredible - read and learn
This is not your typical formulaic self help book. It doesn't deserve to be even labelled as self help.
This is for all those people who want to understand how our minds work in the strange ways they do and thus learn what shapes our actions and behaviours and how we can control our reactions, emotions and thought patterns to be truly the best we can.
This is simply fascinating. I have never ever read such an insightful, helpful well researched and ultimately practical book. Every single page now has whole sections underlined as I just think 'yes' this is what I need to know, 'now I understand' and 'this is what I need to try'.
It is deeply comforting as you learn that you can train your mind to think differently instead of living at the mercy of unruly ungoverned thoughts and emotions - which I seem to have been floundering in! You can use this book to learn what flourishing really is and I think I am getting there! Thank you Maureen Gaffney!
