A Soviet defector has been assassinated on English soil, and George Smiley is called back to the Circus to clear up - and cover up - the mess. Smiley’s People
This book is totally differently approached to The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. It is shamelessly detailed, really in its own way comparable to the writing of Tom Wolfe.
This makes no difference to it’s finesse and excellence. It was impossible to put down. It’s cleverness and subtlety are right up there.
Amazing!
What can I as a mere mortal say about this author. Simply the very best - ever. RIP
