Reading this provided an insight into a bygone era. it is in itself a piece of social history, warmly written.Enjoyed reading this book tremendously.

I could not put this book down. It is such a lovely story of a young lady who goes into service. She discusses the friends she's made and today she is 96 year old and her friend is 100 years old. The story has a lovely ending where she is waited on. I recommend this book.
