Most diets fail for three reasons - you go hungry, they're too complicated or they are simply unhealthy.

With Rick Gallop's acclaimed Gi diet:
- you won't feel hungry or deprived
- you will never have to count calories, carbs or points again
- you will reduce your risk of major diseases by eating healthy and nutritious meals

Based on the Glycemic Index, or GI, which rates foods according to how fast they are digested, the Gi Diet makes choosing the right food simple with its unique, easy-to-follow traffic light system:

*Foods to avoid (RED)
*Foods to eat occasionally (YELLOW)
*Foods to eat as much of as you want (GREEN)

And the benefits are more than just weight loss! Changing your eating habits can also help prevent life-threatening illnesses, like heart disease and diabetes.

This updated edition contains over 40 all new recipes and meal plans, over 100 new red, yellow and green light food listings, updates on everything from low carbs to office lunches and family meals and more readers' comments and suggestions.

Take the first step to a healthier and happier life!

    Disappointed

The reason I bought this book was for a clear and comprehensive guide to the GI index of food. Listing which foods are LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH. I remember my mother had the original hard back book about 10 years ago and it had the “traffic light” system to rate food. This doesn’t. The “appendix” which is meant to provide this information is confusing and pointless and seems to suggests food such as donuts are fine to eat?!!! I don’t consider myself to be unintelligent, so I’m shocked to find I am no better equipped with knowing the GI value of certain foods by reading this book. I will return to google to find the necessary information and compile my own “appendix” for reference! Waste of £7.99. Would love to know if I can get a refund!
