This is a bittersweet tale of young sweethearts Noah and Kate who knew they were right for each other, get married have two boys and all is well. The trouble is Noah is keeping a handle on painful memories and issues from his past. He does not communicate them and he just disappears, sometimes for days and he never lets anyone in or explain what is going on. After one too many of these episodes Kate reaches her limit.
Noah is a primary school teacher and is brooding because Kate has moved on with another partner. He goes to a pub and after striking up a friendship with Mimi the barmaid, he decides with her help to win Kate back. Trouble is she is getting married and he only has 6 wks to change her mind and pull himself together. Now will this ever happen? Will Noah wake up to the fact that his feelings maybe miss placed? Will he finally deal with his past? Definitely worth a read and as well as some comical parts to this book there are some serious issues too. A great balance.
