Not a mess but not the best story
It was an ok story. I’m not sure why it had great reviews.
*Interesting Puzzle*
This was a compelling read Julia is a DCI heading up the missing persons team.
The missing person in question is a 22 year old called Olivia. She is seen clearly on CCTV entering a dead end alley and disappearing without a trace, why and how?
Julia is the keeper of a secret that she shares with one other who is close to her, her daughter. Something happens and it meant that Julia would be covering up a crime. She thinks she has done all she can to prevent anything from linking it to her daughter. But her actions revert to that of a parent protecting their child with police knowledge
This comes back to haunt her in the guise of someone in a balaclava asking her to frame someone for the murder of Olivia by planting dna that he has, but the usually incorruptible Julia, has to make a choice for the sake of her daughter.
We see Julia do the unthinkable which is at odds with her character and so much is not what it seems and her trusted colleague may not be who she thinks he is. But as things start to catch up to Julia what will she do? with multiple missing people and trying to hold down her job and protect her daughter……
Absolute tripe
Don’t be fooled by the Jodi Piquet review, this book is a mess
