This is about the sixth time I've read this book and it just gets better. The iBooks environment made it even more enjoyable. The observations are so insightful, the humour so black and the situations so extreme.
It's a masterpiece.
Classic
Wished I'd read the book before seeing the film,a classic book,as is the film.
A true classic
I re-read train spotting after reading its prequel, Skag Boys. Although Skag boys was a very good read, it made me appreciate that this book is a true classic of its time. Don't let that put you off reading Skag Boys. Franko and Sick boy appear to have evolved into Saints in Train Spotting, and their us much more depth to their characters in Skag Boys.
