Publisher Description

THE SECOND NOVEL IN THE BESTSELLING CHOCOLAT SERIES

'A delicious urban fairytale' DAILY MAIL

Seeking refuge and anonymity in the cobbled streets of Montmartre, Vianne Rocher – disguising herself as 'Yanne' – and her two daughters live peacefully, if not happily, above their little chocolate shop. Nothing unusual marks them out, and the wind has stopped – at least for a while. Then into their lives blows Zozie de l'Alba, the lady with the lollipop shoes, ruthless, devious and seductive.

With everything she loves at stake, Yanne must face a difficult choice: to flee, as she has done so many times before, or to confront her most dangerous enemy.

'Chocolat was a hard act to follow but Harris has managed it in style' DAILY EXPRESS

'She is terrific, she can write about anywhere, anything, anyone' DAILY TELEGRAPH

'Harris is as good at portraying the agonies of motherhood as she is at evoking the scent of bitter chocolate laced with cinnamon and chilli' SUNDAY TIMES

Chocolat 2

Although it has a slow slightly confusing start, stick with the book it is Chocolat 2! Following on from what happened to Vianne and Anouk (& Roux) in the first book with another twist...not quite as captivating as the first book equally enjoyable if u were a fan. If u enjoy this read Peaches for Monseiur Le Cure, Chocolat 3 :)

Lollipop shoes

One of these rare, much desired books I just could not put down. How Joanne Harris contrived to invoke and evoke the long lingering atmosphere of Chocolat is amazing to me.
I was absolutely spellbound from start to finish. Terrified, delighted, filled with anticipation and dread, but always tentative hope. Caught up by the cameos of characters fleeting in and out and mesmerised by references to places in my Paris that I love.
This masterpiece of intrigue deservedly gains my full cinq etoiles. I have immediately downloaded Peaches for M. Le Curé. Will there be more of this genre, I wonder?

Not Chocolat 2

Not sure why this is branded as Chocolat 2. It's a totally different but magical story written in a similar style. Would recommend.
