Stunning read
Ben Elton is a great story teller and this is another page turner. I was gripped from page 1.
It is also a harrowing depiction of how easy life can change and how fickle we are as well as our dedication to survive, sometimes at any cost.
Ben does a tremendous job of trying to portray the political situation during each phase of the book, which again is deeply disturbing as it is compelling.
Brilliant
Ben Elton is a master story teller! This book kept me reading from chapter one! Constantly gripping and littered with history I wasn’t totally aware of. A story of hope, pain and love. I only wish that he was never able to write this and what he depicts never happened. Read this book!
Couldn’t put it down
This book is captivating from the very first chapter, if you love history this is undoubtedly the book for you
