A totally unexpected pleasure
I read this book about 4 years ago and ever since it has become one I gift to people on a regular basis. I genuinely expected some pseudo spiritual muck but found a lovely and compelling story of one man’s journey to understand his life.
I feel the ending is a little too… tidy. But it doesn’t detract from the whole book and really has created a lasting and long term shift in my own thinking.

The Buddha, Geoff and me
Like the previous review I loved this book because it felt real. The " spiritual" element of the book was understated and practical. Life dishes varied experiences and our labelling as "good" or " bad" does not contribute to solutions or moving on. Our positive, open and dare I say humble attitude seems to achieve some balance. That seemed to be the message for me.
