Sprig Muslin

Delightful, if only to have a Regency romance where one of the heroines is not a beautiful 17 year old but a mature, not specially attractive woman of 29.

A lively narrative with all our favourite character types and Miss Heyer’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the customs and fashions of the period
