Second Son
Lee Child is back to his very best with this short story about Jack Reacher as a 13 year old boy. It grabbed my attention and left me wanting more. Here's looking forward to the newest book due out next month.

Classic Reacher.
Yet another excellent Reacher story from Lee Child, the an can do no wrong.
But please - not Tom Cruise for Reacher.......
Military families
Highlights the violence perpetrated by & within military communities, top down. These kids don’t stand a chance of developing into caring sensitive people; the nearest they come to that is a sense of blood being thicker than water. They are cruel, emotionally stark, rough, tough and displaced. They grew up too fast, never settled anywhere. They cope with the situation presented in this story through harsh methods; one son sacrifices a possible relationship with a girl in order to save his father and hospitalises a boy to prove his brother’s innocence. No dithering, no remorse. Ultimately I felt saddened by this tale, realising that many young sons of military men must think & behave in similar ways to Reacher’s sons as they are portrayed.
