Publisher Description
On 22 July 2012 Bradley Wiggins made history as the first British cyclist to win the Tour de France. Ten days later at the London Olympic Games he won gold in the time trial to become his country’s most decorated Olympian. In an instant ‘Wiggo’, the kid from Kilburn, was a national hero.
Outspoken, honest, intelligent and fearless, Wiggins has been hailed as the people’s champion. From his lowest ebb following a catastrophic attempt to conquer the 2012 Tour and the loss of his granddad who had raised him as a boy, My Time tells the story of his remarkable journey to win the world's toughest race.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In an age when British cycling success seems almost as frequent as London rain, it takes something special to stand out. Bradley Wiggins delighted many with his fourth place at the 2009 Tour de France. So when he moved to the new Team Sky as leader the following year, much was expected . . . but two years of disappointment and disaster followed. With refreshing honesty and somewhat coarse wit, Wiggins bravely reveals his arduous journey to become the first Briton to win the Tour de France—an accomplishment he crowned with Olympic gold just over a week later. A startling memoir of a stunning year of riding and the years of preparation that made it possible, this defining book sheds great light on one of our most complex and successful sportsmen.

A golden period
I had assumed that this would be a full autobiography covering his early life, getting on a bike for the first time etc. but that seems to have been covered by his first book (which I've yet to read). As a cycling fan this was what I wanted to read as I wasn't too bothered about how he started or some heartwarming rags to riches sob story, only his achievements in the past fee years, particularly the transition to winning the TDF.
I'd recommend this to people interested in the details of cycling rather than those looking for a regular sportsman's autobiography. That's not to say that Bradley's not interesting, more the fact that he seems to be quite private and more comfortable talking about bikes and training schedules - which I found really interesting I hasten to add.
great read
great book read in three sessions ..... what a feat in 2012 preceeded by other olympic titles
go wiggo go
spoty ...winner
sir maybe he deserves it ..... as a long time tour fan i say what a win he deserves it
Brilliant and very inspiring
I loved reading this book and it was very inspiring. Bradley is so honest and candid in what he says he was a joy to read and understand what makes such an amazing bloke tick. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand how the road bike racing world works including rules, tactics and the reality of a bike race. All that I needed to know to enjoy the sport more is embedded within the text.
