Publisher Description
Seventeen-year-old Jayna wishes she could spend every second of the day with Andrew. He's her first love, and he understands her like nobody else can. Jayna just wishes Andrew's prejudiced family could accept her - but when they're alone together, it hardly seems to matter.
But something strange has happened to Andrew. He looks . . . different. Pale and drawn, as if he hasn't been outside for days, with mysteriously cold green eyes. He won't go out in the sunlight, and he's unnaturally fast and strong. And now he wants Jayna to join him.
Now she has to make the choice: to lose Andrew forever, or to be with him always - no matter the cost.

A good story spoilt by lapses in research and continuity
I found my enjoyment of the story being marred by small, unnecessary inaccuracies, for example, whereas at GCSE level one can take separate English Language and English Literature, at A level there is only English. In another instance, pure silver was said to have been obtained by heat, cutting up and melting silver cutlery. Silver is a very soft metal, so “silver l cutlery is either made of a compound or plated. It would have been better to melt the silver cross and chain, then dip the tips of the crossbow bolts in that. It had also already been stated that the heroine had to be careful to only touch the steel shafts of the silver-tipped bolts, but she was then described as rolling them round in her pocket. A pretty sure way of causing herself serious injury by touching the silver! Sloppy attention to detail.
Amazing!
Ms Blackman does it again! I read this book oh my it was so gripping and emotional. The ending is just SAD,! But still amazing. Read this book what are you waiting for?
