Fabulous story
I'm a big fan of this author, having read all of his books down the years. This is another beautifully crafted tale, interwoven stories linked and coming together at the end, gradually meeting.
It's not for those who need non stop action, it's a subtle tale, laced with pathos and sadness, finely drawn and believable characters. I really enjoyed it.
A fantastic read !
A parallel investigation, many year apart, which i loved.
Great start to the story but almost falters to a stop mid story as if the characters are being developed which,
doesn’t really happen until much later. This may seem like harsh criticism but i mean it in a ‘Stick with it, you won’t be disappointed’ kind of way.
The characters are brought to life, great story, great idea,
on cold winter evenings when i read this, it felt alive !
