Embarrassing
This book was all good until she gets to parts about Islam. And not to sound rude or anything but Topics about Islam should only be discussed with elite council not the likes of someone who has no Islamic secular knowledge. I’m sorry but people have given her a rank by being so called MODEST and how she started off as a HIJABI (well I don’t see any of that now) so much for keeping it covered 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Excellent read, finished in one sitting
My only gripe is I wish Dina expanded on some of the very important subjects she addressed somewhat fleetingly in the book. Racism, culture, cultural appropriation, family dinamics in Muslim ‘culture ‘. Perhaps there’s room for another book or a regular column somewhere. Her opinion as a modest yet modern Muslim woman is so very important at this stage in the evolution of Muslim society in Britain.
