The chilling sequel to No. 1 bestseller Invisible
FBI analyst Emmy Dockery's unique ability to uncover the patterns that others miss has brought her an impressive string of arrests. But a new case – unfolding across the country – has left her looking for something which may not exist.
The victims all appear to have died by accident, and seemingly have nothing in common. But this many deaths can't be a coincidence. Can they?
Emmy's instincts tell her this is the work of a terrifyingly intelligent serial killer – and she's determined to prove it. When her obsession with the crimes raises flags within the FBI, she's in danger of becoming a suspect herself.
But someone else is watching Dockery. Studying, learning, waiting.
Until it's the perfect time to strike.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Obsession drives the brisk new story about FBI analyst Emmy Dockery, the second book of James Patterson and David Ellis’ Invisible series. Emmy’s sudden notoriety—earned after the first book’s brilliant crime-solving—invites many adversaries, but something else has her even more alarmed: a series of unrelated deaths attributed to natural causes. The counterintuitive investigator knows better, and gives pursuit before anyone else thinks there’s a case. Patterson and Ellis probe into both the criminal and crime-fighting mind, finding plenty of parallels between the two, and their calculated take on the social-media age is just as unnerving. For all its timely themes, though, Unsolved is simply a rip-roaring crime yarn, loaded with credible characters and satisfying payoffs.

Kept me guessing
Full of twists and kept me guessing until the end. Didn’t think I’d enjoy this book as much as I did after the first chapter but quickly became hooked.
