Patrick and Stephanie are a young couple and new parents of twins. They are struggling with colicky babies but they have a seemingly good marriage.
All is well until the past catches up with with Patrick in the shape of Erica Voss. She is accusing him of a past crime to do with his first wife. This also means he now has to tell all to his current wife. Things take a nasty turn and it makes you wonder who is telling the truth. As things start revealing themselves you don’t know where to turn it’s like watching a tennis match of lies and secrets right to the end
Stephanie the seemingly innocent party doesn’t know what to believe as Patrick starts to reveal the truths he hadn’t revealed.
Erica is involved with others and the motivation is money, she is stacking up enemies.
Desperate measures occur and who will be left standing….
Slow starter
I love a good psychological thriller, unfortunately the juicy bit got going right toward the end of the book, even after that no clear ending. I understand the want to create ‘suspense’ / who did it - was just a bit lack lustre for me, sorry.
