Married couple David and Cheryl Burroughs finally have their long awaited child Mathew after fertility issues. Well life is ticking along until an unthinkable tragedy unfolds.
David finds himself in a position that he cannot explain, he is covered with blood and it does not belong to him. Who’s blood is it? As he appears to be in an indefensible position he goes to jail. He is trying to put the pieces of that night together but he is innocent, but how can he prove it?….
In order to let his wife move on from this devastating crime he grants his wife a divorce and he has chosen not to have any visitors. One day five years later his now former sister in law Cheryl turns up at the prison. He is reluctant to accept but when he sees her and finds out what she has to say and armed with a photograph, from that day he finally has a purpose. This will mean taking on some very powerful people who will go all out to keep their secret. Money is no object for them but have they bargained on someone who will be coming straight at them with a score to settle….

Fantastic storyline, captivating seconds into reading the first chapter , Harlan Coben comes highly recommended by James O’Brien from LBC. Would’ve definitely recommended to anyone who enjoys crime, drama and mystery. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was re created for the big screens! Great book!
