Michael Young is a brilliant young history student whose life is changed when he meets Leo Zuckerman, an ageing physicist with a theory that can change worlds.
Together they realise that they have the power to alter history and eradicate a great evil. But tinkering with timelines is more dangerous than they can imagine and nothing - past, present or future - will ever be the same again.
Making History is funny, moving, romantic and told with Stephen Fry's characteristic skill and brilliance.
Praise for Making History:

Okay but more than a little tedious at times
An interesting approach to a clichéd subject. In the 25 or more years that have passed since his writing this Mr Fry has probably realised that some of the devices he used here were somewhat irritating: writing as a screenplay, odd, random and untranslated phrases in German (We get it, you speak German, no need to show off!) a long, dreary instruction sequence for a fictional computer operating system that might have been advanced at the time but has since been overtaken by reality.
The ending was largely predictable from the outset but there is a further element which to me at any rate only became obvious more than halfway through. But then again I'm not that bright so others will have seen it sooner!
Lots of directionless waffle
I really struggled with this particular piece of works. I’ve always enjoyed Stephen Fry but this book was very hard going because it really lacked engaging content and I found myself constantly reflecting as to what is actually going on !?!
