The hilarious memoir from comedian, Off Menu host and Great British Menu judge, Ed Gamble. Includes an exclusive bonus interview between Ed Gamble and fellow comedian and food-lover, Nish Kumar.
From a young age, Ed Gamble's immaculate bibs and extremely dirty nappies hinted at his capacious appetite. Before he could walk, Ed already knew that he preferred poached salmon to puree, that celery was a calorie-sapping waste of time, and that mashed potatoes should be made with lashings of butter.
Whilst he might ordinarily have been upset by the calls of 'precocious little sh*t' coming from his family, he was too busy stuffing his gob and staging rebellions against the patronising list of misery that is a children's menu.
In Glutton, Ed shares a relatable buffet of experiences and stories from a life lived through food. From the trials of being a diabetic with a sweet tooth to his teenage battles with obesity, to the joy of cooking and the power of food to bring us together, this is a wonderful, hilarious and heart-warming memoir of a delightful obsession.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
From Ed Gamble’s early years as a “salmon-eating child gourmand” to gaining notoriety at university for eating four pizzas in a day, he does not discriminate where eating is concerned. His approach is refreshingly simple: he loves food and wants to eat as much of it as he can. In Glutton, Gamble writes passionately about his belief that children’s menus ought to be abolished, and even more passionately about cheese, which he loves so much that he plans to be buried in a coffin shaped like a wedge of Cheddar. He speaks without pretension about everything from his role as a judge on Great British Menu to his ill-fated dalliance with veganism, and there are heartwarming, nostalgic chapters too. From bonding with his dad over barbecued meats to his disastrous attempt to recreate his grandmother’s Christmas ham recipe, Glutton is a reminder that food is so much more than just fuel—and he has stern words for those who claim otherwise.
